ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Raised on the theatrical virtuosity of Jimi Hendrix, Weird Al Yankovic, and the Marx Brothers, R3id Libby juxtaposes guitar and performance in a genre he calls "theatre pop."
His first full-length album, E3[®Δ]8!?@)-. [Birdbrain], explores art's delicate balance between music and words in a whirlwind of sketches, songs, dialogue, and poetry. The sequel album, Fishbowl, uses horror movie techniques and 1980's synthesizers to ponder the line between visible/invisible, parent/child, and order/disorder.
R3id’s upcoming third album, A Is For Ella, is an exploration of gender and the many forms it takes. The album's second single, "Do you think we’d be friends if we weren’t, like, stuck together in the same town?" was released April 19th.
